! liked the subject matter of this book, i thought it was great how Caletti focused on an abusive relationship and the after effects of their break up. Based on my knowledge it was a very real scenario. However, I wasn't huge on the writing style, Clara seemed a little juvenile for such a difficult topic, and the foot notes bothered me. I wish Clara's relationship with Finn had had more prominence and build up. Caletti could have used this relationship as a comparison to Christian, but it ended up being irrelevant.

What would you do if the boy you loved could never let go?

Clara thinks of herself as nothing but ordinary - that is until she meets Christian. Christian is a sweet, loving, caring boy who makes Clara feel one of a kind, and they fall in love. Clara's love for Christian blinds her from the truth about their relationship, and about Christian. It is almost too late before Clara realizes that Christian has become obsessed with her, from his constant remarks about her past relationships to his jealous glares at any other boy that Clara even glances at. Once Clara finds out the truth, her and her father quickly leave their city to live in a small town where both their lives will be changed forever. Clara will discover serets not only about herself, but about the lies she has been living almost all her life.

This book was very well written and easy to read, while still maintaining a mature feeling. The book changes from Clara's past to present, all written from her perspective. I liked this book because it was a quick read, and still had a very good message about who you love. The title ‘Stay’ was relevant to the story because Clara has to constantly choose who she will let in her life, and who will be allowed to stay by her side, with these people including ex-boyfriends, old friends, and new family members. I recommend this book for readers age 12 and over, and for people struggling to find out what their future holds for them.

This book really helps put abusive relationships in further perspective. Violence tends to continue even AFTER the relationship has been terminated. Christian and his obsession with our protagonist was frightening. I'm glad that Clara finds comfort and security with her father and the love interest, Finn.

Enjoyed the book. I love the way Caletti uses words. I would be reading along and a phrase, or a sentence, or a paragraph would cause me to stop and think of how many ways it could be interpreted.

Clara is trapped because her boyfriend doesn't want to let go of her that easily.

Clara falls for Christian. At first his constant attention is flattering and wonderful, but it soons turns manipulating and obssessive. Her father has not told her the true story of how her mother died either. They leave to take refuge at the beach.

I thought this would be a very good book. I don't know why but I found it pretty boring. I liked the idea of it though.

Meeting the gorgeous and kind Christian at a basketball game, Clara quickly finds herself falling in love with him. She and her father soon become wary of him when Christian grows jealous, possessive, and quick to lose his temper. Wanting to make a clean break, Clara breaks up with him before it can get worse. Christian, who claims that he can change, becomes obsessed with the idea of getting back together. Christian continually emails and calls her, drives by her house, and begs for her forgiveness. After a particularly scary confrontation, Clara's father becomes concerned about her safety and moves them out to a beach town. While there, Clara gets a new job and meets another teen, Finn and his brother. As she begins to open her heart up to another guy, Clara deals with the emotional toll Christian has caused on her while worrying that he may go to extreme lengths to find her.

I really liked this book. It's been a long time since I read it though, so my memory might be a little fuzzy.

Clara used to date Christian. At the time that they met, she fell for him right away. He's gorgeous, kind, and always giving her compliments. Why wouldn't she like him? At first she finds all his attention to be cute and sweet. But after a while, it gets creepy. Thinking she's doing the right thing, Clara breaks up with him before it gets bad. But Christian doesn't like that. Before she knows it, Christian won't leave her alone. He's obsessive about it. He drives by her house all the time, begging and pleading. Her inbox is always full of messages from him, and after a while, she just deletes them, unread. And he's scaring her. With her dad, Clara moves to a little beach town without telling ANYONE in hopes of leaving Christian behind. But with the extreme lengths that Christian is going to, is that even possible?

I would definitely rate this a 5/5 stars, but it's kind of creepy. It's good, and will keep you up at night reading, but if you're looking for a light read this isn't it. However, if you're looking for something much deeper and more entertaining, I would definitely reccommend this to you.
