This is the first book I've read by Lucy Dillon and I must say I really enjoyed it. Lots happening with the three main characters, one recovering from the breakup of a long relationship, one adjusting to single motherhood and one trying hard to become a mother and all this intertwined with finding homes for rescue dogs. The library should really increase the number of Lucy Dillon titles if this one is any indication of her work. I'd say if you like Katie Fforde or Jill Mansell you'll like this writer too. Nothing like a good British romance.
I loved this book. It should inspire people to adopt from and volunteer at rescue shelters.
RNA Winner 2010. It was a good book. I like that there is more than one romance developing. Learnt that I would never take on a Bassett Hound. I have now completed all the RNA shortlist for this year and would like to thank the library for helping me get all the books especially this one as many were not available easily in Canada. I am not sure I would have rated this number 1 this year. I will need to think about it. But it is certainly in my top 3. Enjoy and thanks Library. I love the Library!
