Founding Foodies is a fun and pleasant read and good to pass a few hours. It is more entertaining than in depth. Since it was enjoyable, I completely recommend it, but it may not further research papers. It includes some recipes, which are fun. Townsend & sons videos of how to make 18th century food (online) are a nice accompaniment to the book.
