Second book I read about the wondrous Texas Rangers and Caitlin Strong. Easy to read with prose uncomplicated by sensory detail. It's a wild and tootin' cowboy tale with an ending that strains disbelief. I have now read two stories in the series, following Strong Enough to Die. I don't think I'll continue because I like heroes who don't have angel wings.

An excellent read and on that is hard to put down. Land is an accomplished thriller writer with several of his novels achieving bestseller status over the years. Strong Justice is the second book in his most recent series. The series features Caitlin Strong, Texas ranger, daughter, grand daughter and great grand daughter of rangers. She has been formed of their values and their histories. This book flips back and forth between her story in the present day and that of the Ranger grandfather who raised her.
