This is an amazing movie! It is based around when astronaut Capt. Charles "Chuck" Baker lands on Planet 51, he thinks he is the first life form to set foot there. He gets the surprise of his life when he learns that it is inhabited by little green people who live in an idyllic version of 1950's America -- complete with a universal fear of alien invasion. This is a hilarious movie as well. My favourite part of the movie would have to be the beginning when the astronaut lands on the planet and meets the aliens. I also loved the ending of the movie because this movie had one of the most sweetest endings. Another good thing about this movie is that this movie was not shown from the point of view of a human but instead from the point of view of an alien, who think us humans are the alien, hilarious. I would recommend this movie to people of all ages because it is a family friendly and movie and I know everyone will enjoy this great movie! Overall, this is a fantastic movie! 5/5

Rated 8/10. I don't usually watch animated movies, but I thought this was quite well done. Very imaginative.

I like how all audiences can enjoy this. There were many references that only older folks would understand and appreciate.

Skip It – Planet 51 (2009) 91 min. This CGI animated sci-fi comedy film tries too hard – we have an obnoxious “human” (voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and the typical misunderstood hero (voiced by Justin Long). The planet astronaut Chuck Baker lands on is inhabited by aliens who have mimicked American society of the 1950s down to the bobby socks. Difficult to stay focused on this film despite the many nostalgic references pitched our way.
