Sobering book on 750 US corporations that went bankrupt despite having smart people & even advance warning between 1981 & 2006 that ruined employees & shareholder livelihood. Billions of dollars of assets wiped out.
Book argued against than lack of leadership, inept implementation or bad luck & for greed & ego via CEO legacy.
Book divided into ten chapters including dangers of groupspeak & one on informal & formal Devil's advocate as a possible solution if done right.
It even have appendix on 750 corporations with brief statistics.
Book more relevant given recent 2008 sub-mortgage/credit Crisis with all the global banks that went bankrupt.
