"The covenant that was meant to keep the wizard wars at bay has been stolen, and Trinity must prepare for attack. Everyone is doing their part -- Seph is monitoring the Weirwalls; Jack and Ellen are training their ghostly army; even Anaweir Will and Fitch are setting booby traps around the town's perimeter. But to Jason Haley, it seems like everyone wants to keep him out of the action. He may not be the most powerful wizard in Trinity, but he's prepared to fight for his friends. When Jason finds a powerful talisman --a huge opal called the Dragonheart--buried in a cave, his role takes on new importance. The stone seems to sing to Jason's very soul -- showing him that he is meant for more than anyone guessed. Trinity's guardians take the stone away after they realize that it may be a weapon powerful enough to save them all. Same as the earlier books, a little slow going at first but then it takes off.

another in the Heir series, but I found this one the weakest one so far. Too much teenage angst for me. Thought it was a trilogy, but just found out there are more stories. Did think that this book left it open for more to follow.

Pure awesomeness! I've read this series countless times, tough i do think that her Seven Realms series is better. Recently (about February) learned that there will be two more Heir books. The first coming October 1st, 2013. Can't wait!

It was an okay ending to the series, though my favorite book is still the first one. The way that the book came to an end really took me by surprise though.

This book was outstanding, I can't believe I haven't figured that out sooner. It sits on my top shelf proudly now.

I really wanted to like these books, because my friend recommended them, but they're only OK. This one is a little better than the first two.

Greeeeeaaaat! :D I mean yes it was slightly boring and all but hey if you're gonna finish the series its not a bad book in all.. But if you've read the heir chronicles the 7 realm novels are a must read by Cinda Williams Chima ^_~ Her books are just epic, legit, amzing whatever you wanna call it! >:D

I kinda got mad that it ended like that. It wasn't as adventeurse as the first or as dark as the second it wasn't even about Jasson like the back said but it was overall okay, and a good read.

Kinda hard to get into, but still good :)

Not as good as the first two. It wasn't until near the end that it got engaging.
