A good read especially if you have read Gone with the Wind. If I hadn't I am not sure I would have finished it, because it wasn't as involving as GWTW, perhaps because it was mostly from Rhett's point of view.

Terrific. Nobody can spin a story as well as McCaig, unless he has a twin. Well done Don, and Thank You.

This is a great book. It does help you understand Rhett Butler.
I just loved it.

If you loved Gone with the wind, this would be a good read for you! An authorized version of the Rhett and Scarlett story based on his side of it. The author has written other stories about the civil war (Canaan, Jacob's ladder) and its well worth a read.

... Rhett Butler had slipped into that mood where the deepest affections are colored by sorrow and love's losses seem the greater part of love.
