Manhattan Project contributor / researcher who found his niche / passion when he was told he couldn't continue with nuclear research. "Genius" infused in the music we now hold dear.

Dowd's engineering skill and musical sensibility is evident in much of the greatest music from the 60's and 70's. This biographical sketch gives us a more intimate view of his relationship to music. High point for me was hearing him discuss layering the individual tracks that make the song "Layla."
