A Fantastic Movie! Definitely five stars! I like Basil Rathbone and Errol Flynn, so seeing those two together is fun. Highly recommend. The best Robin Hood movie.

The greatest Robin Hood film ever made. This is definitely Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland's best picture. The beautiful color, wit, charm, action, romance, and music (done wonderfully by Erich Korngold) is magnificent and barely incomparable. Well done Warner Bros!!! Thank You!!!

Besides the slight over-teasing the priest, which started to become irreverent, it was a great movie. It is a lot better than the Kevin Costner Robin Hood. Definitely not a waste of time.

VERY GOOD 1938 Technicolor film of Robin Hood - excellent production, acting (starring Errol Flynn and Olivia DeHavilland).
Apparently I grew up with (will be checking it out) with the 50's Brit Robin Hood TV series starring Richard Greene, so it was interesting to see this earlier version.

Hello everyone! I have watched this film, and I found it to be an absolute enjoyment. It is indeed very merry, from the first scene right to the last one! The actors and actresses did a fantastic job at being their roles. The movie was demonstrated like a play on a screen. King John was shown right at the very beginning. We were shown how the politics in the castle work, and we were also shown everyone who is present with him at his court.

Robin Hood was played as a very comical person, fighting for the rights of the Saxons against the taxes and tortures imposed on them by King John. There were also many scenes that showed us Robin with his merry men trying to fight for their justice.

The love story between Robin Hood and Maid Marian was also demonstrated very well. It felt completely natural. Marian has an arc in this movie ( she goes from being a haughty woman, to one understanding what the life of the poor is like.)

I completely recommend everyone to watch this film!

One of my favorite classic Errol Flynn movies after Captain Blood and The Seahawks.

Errol Flynn is perfect as Robin Hood. He has the swagger, the quickness, the keen mind, and the daring ability to get out of even the worst situations. Flynn makes Robin Hood a super hero of early England. He sword fights any amount of swordsmen when a grin on his face. He even climbs the castle walls to have a better fighting position. He can shoot an arrow exactly through an apple. He can also charm just about any woman he meets. It is Errol Flynn in his finest role as Robin Hood.

A TRUE representation of Robin Hood, I was THOROUGHLY impressed and surprised by this film! How refreshing to see real action for once without all the camera trickery. A must see!!!
