This is very much a period piece, which had a longevity of a few months. Most interesting is the first piece, which is worthy of close attention: "God is alive, magic is afoot", which is a sung cover of a paragraph from the Leonard Cohen novel, 'Beautiful Losers'. That paragraph is stunning, and it is appropriate in many ways that a Native should bring attention to it. The arrangement however does not bear up to repeated hearings. I would love to hear Diana Krall's or Neil Young's take on this song.
