This is one of my favourites of Lisa Gardners novels. I found it haunting
and terribly compelling. LG is great at telling suspenseful stories. It's a story I won't soon forget.

Unfortunately, this is the weakest Gardner book that I have read. Great first half but the second half is very Bad.

The first three-quarters of this book was a pretty straightforward police procedural and, for a Lisa Gardner, it was a bit dull. The last quarter of the book gave a glimpse into Lisa Gardner's usual sphere of greatness. Overall, I don't think that final quarter payoff was enough to making slogging through the ho-hum first three-quarters worth the effort.
