Its a fascinating book, the author is brilliant.

The author created the book as an expression of the intersection between art and science needed to understand anatomy.

Without illustrations, an anatomy textbook is pretty much useless.

Sketching is a spectacular way to learn how something works.

Only one problem, the book is from the 1950ds so you should probably skip over the "distinctions of Race" part.
