"You have to be champions of the Force, with or without your Jedi Master. Learn as Luke learned: step by step. You must work together, discover the things you don't know, fight what has to be fought. But the one thing you can't do is give up!"-Leia

"I've already been tempered by the dark side. I came out stronger. You are weak because you know only the evil teachings. Your understanding is no greater than that of my apprentices." -Luke Skywalker

Out of three books in the Jedi Academy Trilogy, I think that Champions Of The Force is the best one. There are several reasons for this, but to keep it short and avoid spoiling the story, I will say that I liked it because some parts reminded me of Episodes 5 and 6. (Which is what I think Mr. Anderson was trying to remind readers of and maybe make them say, "This reminds me of that one part in The Empire Strikes Back.") Other reasons why I liked it were because it had less bad words than Jedi Search or Dark Apprentice had, it had an adventure story feel, and because most of the characters have a relatively happy ending, and I think it ended off strong. (Who doesn't like a trilogy that ends in a great and positive way?)

Kyp Durron continues his rampage to destroy the Galactic Empire with the Sun Crusher to avenge his brother (whom he inadvertently kills when he destroys Carida). Luke, who was left in stasis after the fight between himself and Exar Kun, makes every attempt he can to save his body from Exar and his monsters. After reaching out to the Jedi twins, he warns them about the danger his body is in and that they need to protect it at all costs. In the end, all the apprentices unite and Exar Kun is destroyed. After the death of Exar Kun, Kyp comes to the light side again after talking to Han Solo. Luke forgives Kyp, and Kyp takes the Sun Crusher into the Maw to destroy it. Wedge Antilles and his group of fighters reach the Maw Installation, to free the wookie prisoners and get information. The last of Admiral Daala's ships, the Gorgon, limps back to Imperial installation in the Maw near Kessel after supposedly dying. During the fight, Admiral Daala successfully fakes her death and escapes. Meanwhile, Tol Sivron and his group of scientists escape on the prototype Death Star. Before they could go far, Kyp crashes his ship, the Sun Crusher into the prototype and hauls both ships into a black hole. Kyp escapes by getting into a pod. Terpfen had revealed to Ackbar that the dying Mon Mothma had been poisoned by Furgan with microscopic nano-destroyers. He asked Cilghal to come to the Imperial Palace and heal Mon Mothma, which she does. Leia becomes the new Chief Of State. Leia, Han, Ackbar, Wedge, Chewbacca and Mon Mothma then attended the reopening of the Cathedral of Winds on Vortex, while Lando and Mara returned to Kessel and Kyp went back to Yavin 4 with Luke, to continue his Jedi training.
