There are several things that are done to accomplish this Using 18 instead of eighteen, or the old printers trick like th' which is a stand in for a letter e, and change things like have to having. It show a level of understand and creativity that we seldom see in modern novels. That in itself was an awesome task that was well done. Second, the story of Anton Vowl, whom goes missing, is a driving story that keeps you on edge. What happens to those that begin the story as they too begin to die gives you a sense of and unseen specter that you cannot quite grasp. The answer is oddly satisfying. The shear amount of work the author does to keep you guessing as to whom the killer is just blows your mind. It is definitely a novel that all book readers must read.
