Originally released back in 1973 - "Band on the Run" would be the third studio album by Paul McCartney and Wings. It was McCartney's fifth album after leaving the Beatles in April 1970.

This recording became one of the top-selling studio albums of 1974. It remains McCartney's most successful record and the most celebrated of his post-Beatles works.

This CD reissue contains all 10 original tracks. All of these songs were a songwriting collaboration between Paul and, his wife, Linda.

this is widely considered macca's best. I can understand why. it coheres. let us say the band on the run musical theme recurs. Pablo Picasso's theme is the best classically McCartney song on the album, it deserves your listen. follow with BLUEBIRD, then HO HEY HO, then HELEN WHEELS, then 1985, then....well, you'll listen as you wish, won't you. the only one I wish you to avoid is JET. it seems so pat, formulaic, plastic. the rest of this highly regarded cd does not seem so, as a lot of paul's product, unfortunately, does.
