I would echo what SisterMadly said. Straight forward approach on observing how you mind works with gentleness, nonjudgement, yet disciplined. If you have ever wanted to commit to a meditation practice this gives you a very balance, unintimidating approach and makes it a familiar practice. The Sakyong uses very accessible language and analogies.
This book gives a very understandable and practical approach to mindfulness meditation. It is clear, easy to understand, gentle yet thorough. The author is one of the best Tibetan meditation teachers out there.
