I'm very disappointed this book is considered 'inspirational' by so many people. While chock full of anecdotes from an obviously very smart man who lived an exceptional life, this book made me dislike Feynman greatly (and it's his autobiography!).

A good deal of his stories involve either trying to score with women (mostly by disrespecting them), how he proved he was smarter than everyone else around him by staging pranks and violating various security and safety regulations, or other general tales of how smart yet humble he is. In his own words, he sounds like a egotistical jerk.

If you know a young woman interested in a career in physics, do not let her read this lest she discouraged from a field that needs more women professionals. Feynman makes it clear in story after story that woman are sex objects to be manipulated and not academic peers.

This book was mentioned several times in ¨Tuva or Bust¨ written by friend Ralph Leighton, about their quest to visit Tuva in Central Asia, but Richard passed away before they could make the trip.

Great read, R.P. Feynman definitely had an interesting life. Would have loved to have heard some of his talks as I guess he was an entertaining speaker.

fun to read, not too much physics. Feynman projects a bit of egotism and his lack of modesty removed one star in my evaluation.

A collection of essays from speaking engagements and interviews that highlight an interesting and very smart character. Some amusing stories. Worth reading if you are interested.

Only casual mentions of physics throughout - this is a book about the man and his life. Highly entertaining.
