As a child, I loved the book series and read every single one. I cannot really review this as well I should at the moment because it's been years since I read the book. However I do know that you will enjoy this series a lot if you fall between the ages of 10 and 12.
I had read The lost Kingdoms before I read this. I understand one of the complaints is that it's 'boring'. I can understand that. This book is more of an introduction to Erdas and to the Characters. The set up for the rest of the books, the stage. Considering the books are based off of a game this wouldn't leave Brandon a lot of wiggle room and he did well under the circumstances. Personally I really enjoyed the book, ((All the male writers wrote really well in this series lol))
This isn't one of Brandons 'best' per say but looking at a lot of the others it's definitely not the worst
I love the concept and how this book was written. It is very cool how each book in the series changes authors.
This is one of the first children's books that I've ever read that doesn't have the old school happy ending. It's a great book if you're into fantasy, too!
Started reading this book for one reason....I saw Marie Lu had written one of the books. Honestly I was snoring....the plot was predictable at best and little character development. I will however read the rest of the series thanks to Lu. Hopefully I won't nod off in the next book. .....Meanwhile time for Ted Dekker and Showdown. BTW Dekker vs Mull we all know who would win that write off.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! The greatest book in history!(set aside MY books, LOL!) Please read it. If you don't, I'm telling you, you'll hate yourself for it.
In my opinion its a really good book and I am starting book 2 the beginning is great
AMAZING! It's great but gets boring in book2 sometimes! but a great read! :)
i loved this book so much that i was practically inseparable from my reading chair for a whole day! five stars for sure!
Great book! You guys should play the game! It has humor and its really awesome! my spirit animal (the game) is named: amberkey47 :) friend me
It took me a bit to get drawn into this, but then I had fun with it. Actually, considering how much Mull needed to accomplish--introduce four protagonists, their animals, and a complex world in a way that sets the stage for a series shared by many authors--I was impressed by how engaging the story became, enough that I almost forgot the mechanics of the conceit and just enjoyed it. 3.5 stars and very recommendable.
At first, I had my doubts that it was just going to be another copy of 39 Clues of Infinity Ring. Thank God I was proven wrong!!!! Great book, love the series!
Best Best Best Best Book Ever!!!!!! The Four Fallen Returning to battle the Devourer!!!!!! Can't wait to read the Second Book... HUNTED.
CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THE GAME!
