I was not able to keep my attention of this audiobook. I found it utterly boring.

The narration was great in this quirky, goofy Sci-Fi. My interest waned as I listened but one of my favourite quotes was: "Time is an illusion. Lunch time doubly so."

The author wrote this in a weekend is my guess, while on medication. The end of the world in 5 minutes.

Read the book before seeing the movie!!!

Harmless. Mostly harmless with improbable, funny bits. Whatever the question was, if 42 is the answer, it cannot have been very interesting. 42 is not even prime. Jeez. I like the idea of mice running the planet. That explains a lot of…

If you're like me, you've already memorized large swaths of HG2G, so the audiobook won't be a hard sell—but the version narrated by the late author is still a delight. (And strangely relevant, what with the President of the Galaxy whose…

An excellent blend of science fiction and satire. The narration could not have been better.

I am not a sci-fi person. But, with all the references to this book that I have heard over the last 30+ years, I presumed there must be SOMEthing that I was missing. Not at all.

Interestingly, although the listed narrator is Martin Freeman, Stephen Fry is the actual narrator.

I'm definitely not the audience for this book. It's not really my kind-of humor and it was frankly pretty boring.

Once you read (or listen) to this, it's no mystery why it's become a beloved sci-fi classic. With wacky names that make you giggle every time, to robots with depression, the blend of comedy and science fiction is masterful. I highly…

Stephen Fry was awesome, with just the right touch of what seemed like sarcasm laced into the audiobook. The actual plotline is brilliant, with many thought-provoking parts.

This was weird, like really weird. It was funny, though. The ending didn't make much sense, but I suppose that was to leave room for the next book.

Just as amazing the second time around! Humorous and unexpected with delightful characters and amusing twists and turns!

Having read the books and seen the television series years ago, I figured listening while driving to/from work would be interesting. It is worth noting that the tv series stayed fairly true to the original radio broadcasts but stopped at a…

Witty and entertaining, this audiobook had me laughing out loud. Douglas Adams has a brilliant way of putting the world around us into perspective. It is amazing how much of an adventure this audiobook manages to take you on in only six…

The book was funny in that dryly endearing, oh-so-British way; and was an enjoyable easy frolic through a tongue-in-cheek science fiction world. If I had read the book back in high school when all of my bizarre friends did, it probably…
