Summer Knight was an amazing good adult book for young adults. It feels like this fantasy mystery series is beginning to shake off its roots and come into its own. There is a whole cast of characters in this hardboiled fiction; some we…

Dresden Files Book 4 - When the Knight of the Summer Court of the Fae is killed and his powers stolen, Harry Dresden must team up with an old flame to try to solve the case before the fairy world erupts into all out war. This volume has…

Stupidly stubborn is one way a person could describe Harry Dresden. There are times when you get irritated with his stubbornness. There are also times when his attitude towards women can be frustrating as hell. But the pace moved fast and…

Okay to be honest this one dragged at the very beginning which directly contradicted the blurb on the cover that states, "Starts with a bang and doesn't let up." Maybe the frogs from the sky for the first 10 pages was that bang but the…

I love this series – good, light, fantasy reads, with strong characters and enough intriguing over-arching plots to keep me sucked in.

3 1/2 stars (Though if you're on book four of the series you might round up as you obviously like it). Like an old pair of jeans - comfortable but not flashy. Plot is the same as the first three books: Dresden bumbles into more trouble…

I normally don't like first person perspectives, but Harry's world and mind are brilliant to be in! He has the kind of wit I always wished I had. Jim Butcher knows how to use his characters and isn't afraid to push them to their breaking…

I was very pleased with this entire novel. I loved it from beginning to end. It started getting better with the last one and I believe the storyline and Sidhe conflict was interesting seeing as how before this novel I never read anything…

No, its right. Grave Peril is the one where " The spirit world has gone postal. All over Chicago, ghosts are causing trouble -- and not just of the door-slamming, boo-shouting variety. These ghosts are tormented, violent, and deadly."

This time Harry's going up against the intrigue in the Faeirie Courts. This is one of Butcher's best dresden novels, IMO. The interplay between Harry and the various Faeries is great.
