Shattered But Not Broken is an introductory experiential art therapy workshop designed to help individuals explore and process grief, loss, trauma, and emotional distress through creative expression. The workshop recognizes that healing does not rely solely on verbal communication. Participants are encouraged to engage with artistic media as a way to access emotions, memories, and experiences that may be difficult to articulate.
Through guided reflection and therapeutic art interventions, participants will learn how creative expression can support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and healing. While voice and language are welcomed, the workshop intentionally supports individuals who may struggle to express themselves verbally by offering alternative, collaborative methods of processing through art.
Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how art can serve as a safe and transformative pathway toward resilience, self-discovery, and healing.
Brought to you in partnership with the South End Neighborhood Council (SENCo) and facilitated by artist Sabreehna Essien.
