Playing in the Present Moment A Free Community Workshop with Tacoma Refugee Choir Facilitated by Daisy Abreu, Psy.D., LMHC, NCC

Come as you are. No experience necessary.

Join us for a warm, welcoming afternoon dedicated to slowing down, tuning in, and connecting with yourself and with others. Through gentle movement, breathing practices, relaxing music, chair yoga, and mindful meditation, we'll explore how presence and self-awareness can deepen the way we express ourselves and connect with the people around us.

Whether you're a longtime TRC community member or joining us for the first time, this workshop is a space to feel grounded, be seen, and meet someone new. All ability levels welcome.

Free to attend. No prior experience necessary. All are welcome.

Únete a nosotros para una tarde cálida y acogedora dedicada a bajar la velocidad, reconectar y estar presentes contigo mismo y con los demás. A través de movimientos suaves, prácticas de respiración, música relajante, yoga en silla y meditación consciente, exploraremos cómo siendo conscientes y estando presentes podemos enriquecer la forma en que nos expresamos y nos relacionamos con quienes nos rodean.

Ya seas parte de la comunidad TRC desde hace tiempo o nos visites por primera vez, este taller es un espacio para sentirte centrado, ser visto y conocer a alguien nuevo. Abierto a todos los niveles y capacidades.

Our community is full of neighbors and friends who passionately cultivate musical traditions from around the world. This year, Tacoma Refugee Choir invites all music lovers to learn more about the songs and stories that have inspired and enriched our region. This is an opportunity to connect with others through the joy of singing and to explore how music can help make harmony out of our diversity. All are welcome!
