Please join Guma' Imahe for a special flower making workshop on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Swasey Branch Library from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. In this workshop, Joel Larimer, affectionately known as Saina Joel, will demonstrate how to make colorful flowers using pipe cleaners. 

Saina Joel has dedicated over 35 years to preserving and promoting the rich Chamorro culture. Beginning his journey at just 12 years old, Saina Joel has become a renowned dance instructor, sharing his expertise with over 1,000 students since 1996.

In 2012, he founded Guma' Imahe (House of Images) in Graham, WA, and later relocated to Tacoma, WA. Today, his organization boasts nearly 100 talented dancers, drummers, and musicians.

Thanks to the Tacoma Creates grant, Saina Joel will get to continue his mission to share and perpetuate the Chamorro culture through the arts.
