Sew a Sashiko Sachet

5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Kobetich Branch

Description

Create a beautiful, scented sachet decorated in the distinctive, traditional Japanese embroidery style of Sashiko. Translated, Sashiko means “little stabs,” which perfectly describes the contrasting white, running stitch that defines the technique. Sashiko designs are often geometric and repeated, creating an eye-catching pattern that leaves the fabric stronger than before. Take home a lovely, handmade sachet for yourself or to give as a gift.
