Join Tacoma Public Library and Write253 for a 10-week writing workshop series for teens! Led by poet Michael Haeflinger and featuring guest writers from a variety of genres, our generative writing prompts will look at various aspects of writing helpful to poets and prose writers.
Each session in this cumulative series will feature free-writes, some mentor texts, and some writing exercises, as well opportunities to hang out with other writers from around the region. The series is free for participants and you don't need anything to sign up (except something to write on and something to write with)!
Registration is required. Applications to participate close on March 2, 2021.
This program is for ages 15 - 19, and will run on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. beginning Wednesday, March 3rd until Wednesday, May 12th (no class April 7th).
*Attendance for every session is strongly encouraged.
