What is a Microlibrary?
A Microlibrary is a service point located at a partner location outside of Tacoma Public Library's eight branches. You’ll find an interactive kiosk with a curated selection of library materials as well as a variety of programs and services managed by a dedicated Outreach Librarian.
What cool things are available at the Microlibrary?
You can use your Tacoma Public Library (TPL) card to check out materials such as books, DVDs, graphic novels, and museum passes from the kiosk. More materials are coming soon!
How do I check out items?
Please bring your Tacoma Public Library card to check out materials! At this time, cards can be issued only at our eight main branches.
How many items can I borrow?
Up to 3 books (3 weeks, 1 renewal)
Up to 3 DVDs (1 week, 1 renewal)
1 museum pass (1 week, no renewal)
