Kids' Code Club

9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Main Branch

Description

Want to know how to make it go with just a little tweak of a 1 or an 0?

Young people between 7 and 17 can learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and more every Saturday morning at 9:30 am.

Working with such programs as Scratch, Code Kingdoms, Minecraft and others, kids learn the basics of coding language, syntax and logic.

No experience is required and this course is entirely self-paced and fun!

Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult who will learn right alongside them.

Students should provide their own laptop computer or tablet. The library does have a limited number of laptops to borrow if necessary; to reserve yours ahead of time contact jhargis@tacomalibrary.org.

Support provided by Mentor/Volunteers Joshua Brockshmidt and Trey Setunsky.
